With the art of 'Flower Language' in mind, which flower would you like to a Florist to drop off -see below ?

...a Florist knocks on your door and gives you a single 'Flower'. You open the note that comes with it and it says "Just for you". With no romance or thankyou or something not so nice on the card.

What would you like the 'Flower' to be?

Also Who would you give a 'Flower' and what would it be...

Please say the meaning of the flower for those of us who don't know what they mean...

And on that subject if your like me and not fluent in this language, you can look the meanings up at...

...white rose...means purity and spiritual love

the white rose was always my late husband's favorite flower...it means even more to me now that our spiritual love still lives on
Reply:Lilacs has been one of my favourites and constants through the years. They remind me of my great grandmother.

Pansys I love for the cute little faces on them that remind me of Yosemite Sam.

Peonies I have always loved for their beauty and fragrance, much sweeter than a rose. I think the 'shame' is that they only last a few weeks .

I realize you asked for only 1 and I would love any 1 that I received. :)

(((((Ladyeagle))))
Reply:...dandelions...Oracle of Time and Love, Faithfulness, Happiness... I love this flower because my son would pick them and give them to me. These moments I will always treasure and hope he will remember those days as well.

The meaning says everything.
Reply:I love white carnations with red stripes! I don't know the official meaning but it makes me think of Jesus' blood that makes us pure!

Or, another way to see it, "we are healed by His stripes!"
Reply:Dark pink roses say"thank you." for my dear twin sis.
Reply:I saw this and immediately went looking for my "Floral Meanings" list from Lady Bird Johnston's Wildflower Conservatory - and couldn't find it... (I adore Iris, Lilac and Cala Lillies.) I DID however, find my Birthstone meanings and Mythology's list...

Enjoy the weirdness:

It symbolized his rank and power. When this Angel, Satan, led his heavenly rebellion and was cast out of heaven (Jesus said he 'fell like lightening'), his crown was cast to earth and there shattered into a million pieces.

When we find emeralds, they each have a flaw. There is no true emerald without some kind of tiny crack in it. The value of the emerald is determined by the size of that crack... the smaller the flaw, the higher the value.
