I'm stuck: Any ideas for tattoos with specific meanings? (See details)?

I'm 18 and I want to get a tattoo. I have a tattoo in mind but I'm stuck. On my left shoulder blade, I'm going to have a fairy with butterfly wings (in the wings will be "Luctor et emergo" which means I struggle and emerge). I wanted to have the fairy with one hand out with 3 or 4 things suspended in air above, sort of like when fairies blow fairy dust from their hands. The symbols will be small and most likely travel up to the top of my shoulder. I'm trying to find symbols for misguidance OR naivety (2 mark my life before finding myself), maturity, new beginnings, OR rebirth (2 mark my transition from childhood to adulthood), and freedom, joy, purity, OR love (2 mark what my future holds for me). I was looking for any symbols: objects, flowers, and/or animals. I also was looking for something that represents maternal love or the connection with a mother, and anything that represents playfulness, friendship, sensuality, trustworthiness, OR femininity (my personality).

talk to your tattoo artist. if you are serious about getting this tattoo, then i'm sure you have already looked into your local artists, talked to them, talked to co-workers or clients of theirs, looked at their portfolios, and checked out their tattooing space to see that it all meets your expectations- after all, a tattoo is permanent. so as i said- the best suggestion i can give you is, talk to your artist! he should be able to help you come up with ideas, and see what it will look like. if the image chosen has too much detail, it will not turn out right as a small tattoo (it will blur, lose detail, etc). your artist can help decide on ideas. after all, this is his job, and it's what they do every day.
Reply:things mean what YOU want them to mean. If you feel that a baseball symbolizes love then that's what you get. If you feel that a tampon symbolizes your rebirth from childhood into adulthood then so be it.

And believe it or not, all tattoos don't have to mean something.
Reply:"2 mark my transition from childhood to adulthood"

You want to get a tattoo and you still use a "2" in the place of the word "to"....sounds like you haven't made that transition yet...
