Meaning of chinese symbols / art motifs?

I need to know what do the chinese dragons, birds, different types of flowers, plants, or any other animals mean. What do they symbolise and stuff. If possible, with double-meanings. The original meaning and the other one that it sounds like.

Meaning of chinese symbols / art motifs?
Hmm, a big task there, as there are so many. Bats are a good luck symbol, since bat and luck have the same sound ("fu"). Dragons have four claws unless they are royal, then they have five. Dragonflies represent summer; Chrysanthemum sounds like "nine" so should be picked on the 9th day of the 9th month.... It's endless, really.

The web is your best bet, and I've put a link below. It's not easy, unfortunately, to find a site that has the symbol and meaning and pronunciation, but keep digging.

Good luck!
