1. She impatiently waited in line, at the grocery store. She knew she was going to be late in picking up her daughter from school, if the line didn't start moving a little bit faster.





2. The conversation turned towards politics, which Dave did not want to get involved in. Dave disliked discussing politics with friends.





3. Even though Dave was a millionaire, he didn't want to pay the amount the car dealership was asking for the Hummer. Many would say Dave was extremely stingy.





4. The cattle grazed in the meadows. The lush green grass was plentiful, and there were wildflowers as far as the eye could see.





5. After soaring down the hill of snow, on his toboggan, Davy scrambles up the hill, so that he can go down once more.





6. Despite their experience, the hikers did not manage to penetrate the dense forest. It was just too thick and marshy.





7. Sally came in the house, from the meadows, and proudly gave her mother a beautiful, perfectly formed daisy. The flower filled the room with its sweet scent.





8. Close your eyes, and imagine what it would be like to be able to fly. Soaring through the sky, with wind in your hair ... what a lovely feeling it would be.

17. The male, green iguana clambers up into tree, to settle down for the night. It can change its color, so that the other predators can't see it, while it sleeps.





18. The vacationers came to a fork in the road. There were no signs, telling them which direction the lake was, so, they were confused about which road to take.





19. If I don't get enough sleep, I am grumpy all day. It makes the day bad for everyone I come into contact with.

While the girl waited she had an interesting conversation with her friend on the phone.





The conversation she had was about how her boyfriend was too stingy to pay for her movie ticket.





The movie they saw last night was based on "Little House on the Prairie" and opened with a scene featuring a little girl running through the meadows





The onlooker watches as the little girl crosses the meadow and scrambles up a mountain that lies on the other side.





On top of the mountain there was a big fortress but the little girl was unable to penetrate it.





The little girl left a daisy, turned around, and scrambled back down the mountain.





One can only imagine how tired she must have been after her adventure.





She likes to cuddle with her teddy bear before she goes to bed.





The little girl's mother makes a very tasty stew.





I had a glimpse of the recipe in her recipe book.





I took the book while both of them chattered in the other room.





In the distance I could hear the howl of a wolf





It is very late and my eyes are red-rimmed with fatigue





Because of the amount of snow this year, the farmer had to dig several ditches to remove the water from his field.





The speed at which he was able to dig his ditches was extraordinary





Being at the sidelines while the girl was running away from the police, we have to laugh at the way she clambers over those picket fences.





After about 20 miles you will come to a fork in the road and it is important that you veer to the westward leading road.





having spent all this time doing someone else's homework has made me grumpy.
