Can you help me interpret this poem?

i've been reading this poem and i feel that i am not able to grasp the deeper meanings of the lines.

MORE STRONG THAN TIME

Since I have set my lips to your full cup, my sweet,

Since I my pallid face between your hands have laid,

Since I have known your soul, and all the bloom of it,

And all the perfume rare, now buried in the shade;

Since it was given to me to hear one happy while,

The words wherein your heart spoke all its mysteries,

Since I have seen you weep, and since I have seen you smile,

Your lips upon my lips, and your eyes upon my eyes;

Since I have known above my forehead glance and gleam,

A ray, a single ray, of your star, veiled always,

Since I have felt the fall, upon my lifetime's stream,

Of one rose petal plucked from the roses of your days;

I now am bold to say to the swift changing hours,

Pass, pass upon your way, for I grow never old,

Fleet to the dark abysm with all your fading flowers,

One rose that none may pluck, within my heart I hold.

Thank you!

Can you help me interpret this poem?
I don't think it's particularly deep: He spent some time with his love, and he will cherish the memory so that whatever else happens in life, he can hold to this one rose petal (his memory of the time he spent with her) and get pleasure from the memory. Is there any particular line you don't understand?

Ideas for tats???

I just posted this question, however none of the answers were at all what I'm looking for. It's my second tat, Iknow that I want something to symbolize my strength and hope and my love for my son. I want to incorporate an L, my son's name starts with L. It's been hard raising my son by myself, and I want something to remind me that I had the strength and love to get through it. I want it on my lower back and I was thinking maybe something tribal. I can't find what the meanings are though for tribal tats. I would love to hear your ideas...and I don't want something with flowers or hearts. Thank you!!

Oh, and I know that tats are permanent, so if you're going to try to talk me out of it, don't post and answer. Have a nice night.

Ideas for tats???
You could try something on the small of your back, like an L in the middle with some filligree coming out and around kind of like a nest with it curving out to your hips...
Reply:This looks dumb because I just drew it in MS Paint, but maybe an L kinda going like this across your lower back with some more fancy filler or "hope" and "love" written in cursive on the outer lines of the L:

http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/9713/...

Good luck finding something you like!
Reply:an L in cursive writing, on either side of it kanji symbols for strength and love

an L with a ribbon round it and 2 sparrows holding each end
Reply:The bear claw(paw) represents Strength..how about something like that and maybe put a tribal "L" in the center of the claw. Some how incorporate it into the designs that are already in the center of the paw. To be honest the best thing to do is decide where you are going to go to get the Tattoo, they should have some really neat tribal art work and should be able to provide their meaning to you. Sound like a great idea. Good Luck.

I Need some clever sayings from CLAMP. quotes/messages/ the answer to questions(plus the question)?

i need some meanings and stuff. CLAMP wrote *cardcaptor sakura * chobits *X/1999 * Magik knight Rayearth

an EXAMPLE (from X/1999): Why is it wrong to kill human beings? Humans kill a lot of animals, and trees, and flowers too.Even if they didn't do it consciously, They keep killing other living things. Why? Because the other living things can't communicate with humans? Because the other living things are not as clever as humans? Well then, is it justifaiable to kill a living thing that cannot communicate with you and is less clever than you? Have you ever had meat before? Aren't vegetables living things too? When you walk on streets Have you never stepped on an insect too small for your eyes to see? Animals other than humans kill other animals for food and survival, but humans are different. if it doesn't suit his purpose he kills... Be it those of this own kind of living things.

ANSWER: Because someone will cry for them/ Because someone will feel sad

I Need some clever sayings from CLAMP. quotes/messages/ the answer to questions(plus the question)?
i like what Ame-Warashi said in xxxholic to Watanuki-'humans have no care or regard whatsoever with living nature, why should we concern ourselves with them? my purpose is to save the flowers not else'

I WANT you TO CHECK!(LATIN)?
I don't see where you made your answer choices. I will check your answers when you note which answer you have chosen.

We've been together for a short while, and she's a wonderful woman, but then left with no real explanation :(

Things weren't going fast, and everything seemed great. She said how busy she'd be for a month, and I knew ahead of time that she has some personal matters being resolved. So I hung back, gave her the space and time she needed. Spent 8hrs making a Xmas card that totally blew her away too. But things stayed a little distant as a big job opp approached her later. Then sent me an email, wasn't good, but could've easily had different meanings. I tried asking to talk about it, but she won't return my calls or emails. It's like she fell off the face of the earth. I'm heartbroken and beyond confused. I have already bought her a Valentine's gift and made her another card in early Jan. I want her back, but I'm not sure what's the best way. Thought maybe I'd bring the gift, card and flowers, hope she'll answer the door and ask if we could at least talk about it, or maybe have someone deliver all those things with a note kindly telling her I'm confused and would just like to talk. Any advice?

We've been together for a short while, and she's a wonderful woman, but then left with no real explanation :(
I have been in situations like this. Basically what she is saying just like you are saying is...even if things were not moving too fast...it still can be moving too fast in another way for her and is uncomfortable for her. So she is taking some time. Some women are not used to nice things from men because in their experience no man ever treated them nice so they get used to that. When a guy is real nice it is different for them and uncomfortable for them so they are now out of their norm. So the solution is just give it some time don't push too hard and maybe she will adjust or change over time. Just give her little bits of nice at a time...Because you seem like a very nice guy. But unfortunately as we know change always takes time and a lot of patients, a lot, for the other person (you). Hope that helps

DO YOU REMEMBER?

Do you remember the first time we met?

We all sat and in the garden drinking coffee and eating your well made upside down apple cake.

I remember that I could not take my eyes of you as you were the most beautiful person in my world. But your heart was for another as I watch you gently caress and hold his hand, my heart sank as then I knew I could never be by your side.

Sadly at the end of the day you left my life, but the thoughts were always of you, hoping we would meet again.

Do you remember the first time you came for a BBQ? I showed you my music, in my little corner of the world, the smell of you excited me, your body next to mine I could feel the electricity. The weather was bad and we ran out of gas for the BBQ. You took me in your car looking for an open garage to buy some more. Being so near you I longed to touch you my, heart was yearning, my mind wondering and scared you might take offence to my approach. I remember how I coaxed you into parking your car as you were scared of doing it wrong.

Do you remember telling me that you were going away for a while. How my heart sank at the feeling that I would not receive any form of communication from you. I longed for the day when you returned and I waited for the first of the long awaited e-mails. How you told me of your holiday with friends.

Do you remember the e-mails we used to write while you were at work? They started of so formerly yet there was a feeling that this was not just a form of communication, but a step to see if the water was hot or cold. I asked you for lunch but you declined, my heart collapsed and my soul saddened by the answer. I remember that for a while I never heard for you and how bad I felt that I had stepped over the boundary.

Do you remember how the e-mails began to become more personal and some had connotations and double meanings?

How you had a reason to go to work and we both could not wait until the next day to find out if either of us had written. How I used to send you poems that dictated my life, and how I longed to end the suffering I was living. The poems that were written personally for you began to get deeper as my heart poured out my feelings towards you.

Do you remember the first time we met away from any peering eyes. The flowers I brought were personally selected as each one reminded me of the smell of you. How our first kiss was electric to my heart, my head exploded and my soul for the first time in years had pulled it’s self together.

Do you remember the lunch breaks we had in the park under the biggest tree. Lying back in the sun enjoying each others company, how you used to unbutton my shirt just to rub my chest telling me how much you loved the feel of me.

Do you remember the first time we made love, we both left this planet and went to another parallel universe. The normal world would disappear for the few hours we could spend together. You were and still are still the most beautiful woman in the world to me. After the few hours were gone reality would come along with it the normal world would reappear.

Do you remember when our baby Elodie was born? I was so proud of you and already had such a closeness to Elodie. Each day I see her reminds me of the times we spent previously, knowing that she knew we were sharing love. The first day I got to hold her was like a shining light that opened my eyes to the brand new world she would encounter as life goes by.

Do you remember the holiday we had in the mountains? The time we spent together, every day a dream. Enjoying the freedom away from hurtful eyes. The day we were making love on the balcony while the old man walked his dog albeit very slowly and daily in the hope I guess. The places we went always left a picture in my mind, the nights together, making love and falling asleep in each others arms, awaking in the morning to a bright and beautiful day, having breakfast in the morning sunlight.

Do you remember the walks we used to take? Be it the forest, beach or the city, holding hands and the world we would always leave behind. We could be in amongst hundreds of people, yet be alone in our own beautiful world. No one could enter our world until it was time to come back to real life and return to our perspective lives.

Do you remember how we nursed me back to health when we were sick? Our devotion was beyond that of anything we have encountered, which made our love inseparable , knowing that love would not turn it’s back on our suffering

Do you remember the years we have spent together? So much has happened over the 3 years our hearts have entwined. The Birth of Elodie, the Birth of love and devotion, the Birth of a new life.

Will you remember in years to come the magic times we had shared? I know that I will never forget those secluded and precious times that life had given us and offers us more special times to come.

I want us to remember when the time our God calls us, that no matter where we are if we look into our hearts we will always be there and those special time will return when we meet again in a world where it will always be filled with love, until then we will keep out hearts for each other and love as much as life will allow and beyond.

Am I in love or just infatuated?
I think this to be so beautiful Honest One. I have not read its equal. Personally speaking, if someone wrote or said just a small fraction of this to me, I know I would never be the same. I now think you have spoiled me, as I want to hear this from someone. If I play my cards right, it may just happen. May I say thanks for sharing this? It made my night!!! Take Care, Jennifer
