South Africa?
when the country was was founded-people have lived there for more than a million years. About 30,000 years ago the San people occupied the region. 1488 was the year the first white people came to South Africa. They were Portuguese traders on their way to India. In 1910 the British united the country.

about the current government-I'm pretty sure they have a democracy.

meaning of the South African flag-The Republic of South Africa chose the six colored flagin 1994 from more than 7,000 designs. The colors are historically the most popular colors for South African flags. Green, gold, and black, for example, are the colors of the African National Congress.

sorry I can't give you more.
Reply:hey! well...the SA flag is basically about the different cultures all comeing together (after apartheid etc) this symbolizes the differences put aside and the forward thinking of the new generation...wanting to be one nation, one country and not be "boxed" into white hates black and black hates white. Theres obviously a more political / conventional way of explaining it all - but hey! Our national flower is the "Protea" - it grows in the wild and you can buy it over here in some florists too! not the cheapest though...

I could go on but my memory is abit faded...mmm its late! will have a think and write more if still interested...
