What kind of Roses?

Eveyone says that Roses have different symbols and meanings to girls. What is the difference and what kind should I give a girl that I've been dating for a couple of weeks now. We are not too committed to each other at the moment, because I have alot of other things I'm dealing with, but we are technically still together and I want to show her that I care and appreciate her advising me and giving me a helping hand when I need one. OH, and another thing is that I really like roses (to give girls) and I don't want to give her any other flower but that one.

What kind of Roses?
The difference between red, white, and pink roses in my culture is the level of maturity that you have enveloped with a certain relationship. For example, a husband will give his wife a red rose because red roses symbolize commitment and love, of course. The White rose, is a flower of innocence. It is at a mature level, but is not seen in a very lovey-dovey way. White roses are given to friends and girlfriends that you are not strongly committed too, which I think is your problem. Pink roses, in my Mexican-American culture signify an age of given virginity, which is about 15. Back then, that is when most girls would leave their homes and immediately start having a family.

Anyway, I think that your safest bet is to go with the white roses because it has a sense of innocence and assurance to your girlfriend that you are not going to enforce anything sexual with her. It is a nice little gesture and I think that it is a wonderful way to show someone that you really do care.

Interesting fact: A superstition in my culture says that roses last as long as a relationship. Most flowers last about a week, some even less. But if the connection between the two is meant to be, it is supposed to last a longer period. and I always believed it because once my boyfriend and I broke up and the rose that he had given me a week before, only lasted two days.
Reply:Yellow-Friendship, Red-Passionate, White-True love. Since you are not yet committed I go with either red or pink roses or a combination of both..
Reply:give her a mix of roses to show her all the different feelings she gives you. red-love, pink-grace, yellow-friendship, white-purity, orange-desire, and purple/lavender-enchantmant. i hope that this will help you. good luck!!!!!
Reply:You could go with pink, but a red and yellow mixed rose bouquet would work too. Yellow means friendship and red, of course is for love (even though you're not in love). Just b/c they can have that meaning, doesn't mean they have to carry that meaning when given. Good luck!

Reply:Regular Pink

A pink rose represents happiness. It's great to give a pink rose to a partner to say, "I'm very happy with our relationship."

Lavender Rose

A lavender rose is a symbol of "falling in love". When you give it to a person you are saying "I have fallen in love with you and am enchanted by you."

Orange Rose

An orange rose is a symbol of desire. "I desire you" or "I desire to get to know you better" is the message that orange roses send.

Here's an example: Get her 11 deep pink colored roses and one red rose. Deep pink means "thank you". You can then say, "thank you for being unique. I love you." Or give her 11 pink roses and one blue rose to say, "I am very happy with our relationship and thankful that I have attained such a rare gem as you."
