Could anyone tell me what symbolic meaning of flowers in western and eastern difference?
Rose, for example, represents "LOVE" as its floral-word...many flowers have its symbolic meaning... Is there any differences in between eastern and western use of these meanings? Much appreciate if you can tell me of this...thanks!

Any thoughts about this valentines idea?
I was thinking about going to a store in one of the malls near where I live, that lets you build your own bear, choose every little thing about it and fill it full of stuffing/the things it says, and building my new girlfriend (We just hooked up saturday, but were EXTREMELY close already, she even said she loved me) a bear for valentines day. I was also thinking about maybe writing a cute little note or something to go with the bear, saying something about the bear when im not around or something. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could write?
Also I thought about getting her flowers too, but red roses just seem so way un-original and I was wondering what other colors are acceptable, I know that flowers all have different meanings, thats why im asking.
If anyone could help me out I would REALLY appreciate it. Also if anyone has any ideas to add to this please feel free to say them : )

The bear is such a sweet idea. Maybe the note coule say something about the bear keeping her company when you aren't around.
As for flowers... maybe consider going to the florist and seeing what they have in fresh that day other than red roses and putting together a bouquet for her. Or consider a bouquet of just tulips, or lilies, or iris'. If you really want to do roses, then maybe do a mixture of all different colors. Or go with a variety other than the standard red, yellow, white, or pink. There are so many different varieties out there. There is one that the rose is a mixture of yellow and red that is absolutely beautiful - if you can find them, then those might be a good representation of your relationship... yellow is for friendship and red is for love. Relationships are based on love and friendship. Good luck!

He asked me to prom last week (over a week before the prom) with flowers and a sweet card.
However, I know that he looked up the meanings of different flowers, and he gave me yellow ones.
My friends kept saying that he still likes me, but I'm not sure. He doesn't just ask people out, he is thoughtful, but now he barely speaks to me anymore. His friends say he is kind of protective of me when they are with him, and they say he goes out of his way to be nice to me, but I haven't spoken face to face with him in a few days (We go to a really small school, so thats hard to do) I do, however frequently talk to him on IM
We always have these long conversations on IM, and last time we talked, we both told each other how much we relied on the other one to get us through the school day, but he just doesn't talk to me at all anymore. Does he like me anymore?

i think he likes you, its probably just awkward for him. Guys are weird creatures. He opened himself up when he asked you to go to prom, now he's just taking a step back from moving too fast. Guys are serial back-away-ers. If he thinks you're jumping to emotions, he's going to back up until he gets to test the waters, but SLOWLY. I think things will be fine. You can always teasingly im him "our prom date didnt scare you off did it:)?" Youll be fine

Like my cousin asked me this question tonight and it really got me thinking. What would my ideal first time be? It was a really interesting question I think because I had never really thought about it. And now that I did, I can't stop smiling.
